Cononley Parish Council owns land off Maedow Croft and School Lane which is used for allotments. At present there are 52 full sized allotments; 16 mini allotments and 6 greenhouse spaces over the two sites. All plots are currently rented.
A waiting list is maintained and anyone interested in putting their name on the waiting list, please contact the Clerk on email@example.com.
You can see a copy of the Parish Council's Privacy Notice relating to the personal information we obtain from you below.
It is expected that tennants abide by the terms of their tenancy agreement by keeping their plots well maintained and used. The Allotment Committee which currently comprises all the Parish Councillors, inspects the plots a couple of times per year.
The day-to-day maintenance of the sites is overseen by the Clerk, with the Lengthman undertaking the majority of the work, such as grass cutting and litter picking.
Only dogs belonging to allotment holders are allowed on the allotments. It is regretable that recently, the levels of dog faeces found on the pathways in the allotments has reached unacceptable levels. Instances of dog fouling should be reported to Craven District Council on: http://www.cravendc.gov.uk/cleaner-neighbourhoods/
Below you will find the Parish Council's Allotment Strategy 2015.
