The Cononley Singers was formed in March 2010 when a group of singers from the village got together to start a choir. As of 2026 there are around 48 singing members, both male and female, who meet to rehearse each Wednesday evening between 7.45pm and 9.30pm at Cononley Village Institute.

The musical repertoire covers a wide spectrum of music, from pop and musical theatre to religious and classical pieces. Performances centre around Christmas and Summer concerts and the choir also undertakes other engagements from time to time including charity events further afield.

The ethos of the choir is to strive to deliver performances which will give pleasure to its audiences, as well as huge enjoyment and a sense of achievement to its members.
