Cleaner Greener Cononley was established in 2021 by a small group of residents who wanted to promote sustainable choices and encourage nature-friendly gardening. Since 2021, we have:
✅Hosted Cononley Seed Swaps at the Institute
✅Supported Cononley Beck & River Clean and Village Litter Picks
✅Shared Joan’s inspirational Green Gardening blogs
✅Hosted Eco Coffee Mornings to learn about planet-friendly cleaning, share tips to save energy, reduce waste and how to create soil nourishing compost
✅Taken part in Skipton’s annual Eco Fair
✅Installed 'Switch Off’ signs outside the school and at the railway crossing to help improve air quality for residents and pedestrians
✅Supported North Yorkshire Council environmental and anti-littering campaigns
✅Hosted Wormery Workshops and donated wormeries to residents
