The Railway is a stylish village pub, renovated in 2019/20 by its current freehold owners, Dale Mason and David Harrison, both from the village. The pub was brought back to life after its closure, and today Dale serves as landlord, supported by a team made up largely of local staff.

The Railway serves food Thursday to Sunday, offering a full, freshly prepared menu. Guests can also enjoy the popular Thursday quiz nights, a warm and lively weekly tradition.

Inside the pub, two wood-burning stoves create a cosy, welcoming atmosphere on colder days. Outside, the fantastic beer garden features a pergola with its own wood-burning stove and hosts several live music events throughout the summer months.

All major sports shown on TNT Sports and Sky Sports are broadcast across five large TVs, and the pub also offers a pool table and darts board for those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

The Railway serves three cask ales, IPA's, lagers, ciders and cocktails, alongside a wide range of alcohol-free drinks, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Proud supporters of the local community, the pub sponsors the village football team and regularly hosts charity events, including curry nights and Santa’s Grotto.
